Australia (Kings Canyon) - Steve

Kings Canyon is a canyon in the Northern Territory of Australia, located at the western end of the George Gill Mountains, 323 km southwest of Alice Springs. It was formed more than 400 million years ago. The walls of the canyon are over 100 metres high, with Kings Creek at the bottom. A part of the canyon is a sacred Aboriginal site. The 6 km walk traces the top of the canyon. It gradually descends into the Garden of Eden, permanently irrigated by groundwater and surrounded by plant life. The route then continues through a maze of weathered sandstone domes.
