Asezata intr-o poiana, inconjurata de un peisaj mirific, Manastirea Prislop se afla la 13 km de Hateg. De aproape sapte secole, ea reprezinta unul din cele mai importante asezaminte religioase ortodoxe din Transilvania. A fost ridicata in a doua jumatate a secolului al XIV-lea de Parintele Nicodim, ulterior sanctificat, considerat astazi drept reorganizatorul si indrumatorul monahismului romanesc la inceputul Evului Mediu

Pentru o buna informare a celor ce vizioneaza pps-ul, in rest minunat realizat, precizez:
1948 – In 25 noiembrie Mitropolitul Nicolae Balan il aduce personal la Prislop pe Ieromonahul Arsenie Boca.
1949 – In 8 mai, de pomenirea Sfantului Ioan Evanghelistul, este primul hram la Prislop.
1949 – In 14 septembrie, ziua Inaltarii Sfintei Cruci, Vladica Andrei savarseste, in curtea manastirii, prima liturghie arhiereasca ortodoxa. Cu acest prilej, Parintele staret Arsenie este hirotesit protosinghel.
1950 – Activitatea Parintelui Arsenie ca staret se incheie in 1950. Prislopul devine manastire de maici. Parintele ramane in continuare la Prislop ca duhovnic, ajutat pentru o vreme si de Ieromonahul Dometie Manolache.
1951 – In noaptea de 15 spre 16 ianuarie oamenii autoritatii de stat il „ridica” pe Parintele Arsenie pentru ancheta. Nu se prezinta nici un ordin. Procedeul e brutal. Parintele este dus la Canal.
1952 – In 17 martie este eliberat. Se intoarce la Prislop in aprilie. Participa la slujbe, picteaza si lucreaza in gradina manastirii. Evita contactul cu pelerinii.
1955 – Este anchetat la Timisoara. Urmeaza 6 luni de detentie.
1959 – Prin actul Episcopiei Aradului nr. 2407/1959 semnat si parafat de
Episcopul Andrei Mageru, este indepartat din manastire.
1959 – Parintele Arsenie isi incepe pribegia in Bucuresti. Este angajat la Biserica Sfantul Elefterie ca pictor secund pe langa pictorul Vasile Rudeanu.
1961 – Este angajat la Atelierul de pictura al Patriarhiei de la Schitul Maicilor.
1968 – Iese la pensie. Incepe pictura bisericii parohiale din Draganescu, de langa Bucuresti.
1969-1989 – Dupa izgonirea fortata din Manastirea Prislop, obstea de maici se reorganizeaza intr-un asezamant manastiresc in orasul Sinaia
(acum Metocul Manastirii Prislop). In acest asezamant Parintele Arsenie si-a avut chilia si atelierul de pictura din anul 1969 pana in anul 1989. Aici lasa intr-o randuiala desavarsita predici, meditatii si desene.
1989 – In 28 noiembrie se mu

Multumesc D-na (D-soara) Felicia pentru atentia acordata comentariului meu. Am facut precizarile pentru a nu se intelege ca parintele Arsenie Boca a slujit continuu 41 de ani la Manastirea Prislop. Din pacate vremurile au fost vitrege iar parintele Arsenie Boca a avut mult de suferit. Avea sa se intoarca la Manastirea Prislop dupa 30 de ani de la indepartarea sa din manastire, dar dupa ce trecuse la cele vesnice...
A fost un monah deosebit, a atras in jurul sau o impresionanta multime de credinciosi. Un amanunt interesant ni-l dezvaluie parintele Arhimandrit Teofil Paraian da la Manastirea Sambata de Sus: parintele Arsenie Boca si-a prezis cu exactitate ziua in care va trece la cele vesnice cu mult timp inainte. Si aceasta poate vorbeste ceva despre acest monah deosebit.

cu ocazia parastasului de 20 de ani a parintelui Arsenie Boca, organizam un pelerinaj la M-rea Prislop in perioada 27-29 noiem. Traseul a fost foarte bine gandit asa incat plecandu-se vineri seara nu veti fi nevoiti sa va invoiti de la servici, iar sambata vom ajunge la timp si odihniti la Prislop. Vineri si sambata seara ne vom caza la un hotel in localitatea Horezu. Mai sunt incluse in pret si 3 mese.
